New Challenge
I was offered a consultant post as Senior Public Relations Specialist for Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines yesterday. Yah I will be working for the Government. There is a long process of documentation before we sign the contract.
The Director General welcomed me to the team already with one question, “Are you up to the challenge?” (gulp)
A lot to read and study. They already gave me a booklet containing the entire Intellectual Property Act and a Corporate Identity System that I need to study.
This will be a complete shift for me from my previous job. From being Technical, I will be focusing on the creative side (gulp). I have more responsibilities now (but the pay is good… hahahaha), I will be doing collaterals, I will supervise and work with other creative people like graphic designers and writers. The most exciting is I will also have a change to work on a gallery doing all the graphics and design of the galleries… wuhuuuu.. Lastly, I will also head the web team (wait I AM the web team… hehehe). I will spearhead the project on revamping IP Phil’s website. I may get a third party contractor for this. hehehehehe
I am really excited but for the first time, I am scared as hell!!! hahaha. This is an entirely new work compared to my previous job. I just hope I do good. Its wartime for them, a lot of activities coming up. I just hope I won’t get overwhelmed.
